v7.4 — Landing pass + workspace polish
Minor 2026-06-01
  • Single Line Diagram canvas — Phase B finished. IEEE 315 palette grew from 10 to 28 symbols (CT, PT, SPD, capacitor, reactor, meter, battery, inverter, PV, UPS, EVSE, VFD, MCC, MTS, lamp, receptacle added). Click-to-wire state machine, L-shaped auto-routing, live calc overlay on every wire, single-page landscape print with title block.
  • Workspace v4 — fully data-driven. Removed every hardcoded Lakeshore demo string from Service, Distribution, Branches, Special, SLD modules. Every value now resolves through the engine + provenance pipeline.
  • Auto-recovering report queue. Reports generation auto-detects Redis health on boot, on queue errors, and via a 60 s re-probe. Falls back to inline generation when Redis is down — rows never get stuck at QUEUED.
  • Mobile structural pass. 500 ms long-press on tree nodes opens the right-click menu; touch targets 40+ px; SLD card toolbar wraps cleanly on phones; mobile drawers reach 90 vw / max 360 px.
  • Welcome quick-open grid. Ten launcher tiles on the workspace welcome panel (SLD featured) — bypass the tree if the project has no nodes yet.
  • Tree keyboard actions. F2 renames, Delete deletes, Enter inspects the selected tree node. Long-press surfaces the same context menu on touch.
  • Case-studies seed. 8 worked examples now ship as real demo projects in the dashboard (4 NEC 2023 + 4 CEC 2024).
  • Site nav sweep. 57 broken /tools/free-tools.html links across 29 pages rerouted to /free-tools.html; tool-page Dashboard CTA fixed (/app/dashboard.html → /dashboard.html); /workflow replaced with a clean marketing page (was a 1 643-line workspace simulator on the public site).
  • SEO + social meta. og:image + twitter:card added to 9 subpages that previously rendered without a preview when shared.
v7.2 — Workspace v4 + free tools directory
Minor 2026-05-29
  • Workspace v4 shipped. Five-pane shell (topbar + stage bar + tree + tabs + inspector + console + status bar). Density cycle, dark theme, server-roamed layout across devices.
  • 24 free tools live at /free-tools with a directory grid grouped by category (Cable & Conduit, Load & Demand, Protection & Fault, Power Quality, Life Safety & Lighting, Reference & Drafting).
  • Project tree CRUD. Right-click → Add child / Rename / Delete. Tour projects gated read-only.
  • Inspector + provenance overhaul. Every value tagged DEFAULT / CALC / OVERRIDE / VALIDATED / WARN / VIOLATION with the engine value and engineer override side by side.
  • Realtime multi-tab sync. WebSocket broadcasts structural mutations across every tab open on the same project.
v7.0 — Dual-standard release

  • NEC 2023 engine available alongside CEC 2024 — pick at project creation, both run from isolated rule packs.
  • BOTH-tier subscription for engineers who work across the border.
  • Standard guard at the API and engine level — cannot accidentally cross rule packs mid-project.
  • Unit system per project (METRIC / IMPERIAL) with auto-conversion on input.
  • Admin console for org / team / subscription management.
v6.4 — Reports overhaul

  • RPT-001 Service Load Calculation sectioned to a 22-section template; every row cites a rule.
  • TraceStep™ accordion in the project view — expand any number to see formula, inputs, substitution, result.
  • P.E. seal block on every report — sized for ink stamp or electronic seal.
v6.2 — Free tools + landing

  • Free Tools (NEC Cable Sizing, Cable Pulling, AC/DC Arc Flash, Maximum Demand, Protection Coordination) shipped as Coming Soon.
  • Landing page rebuild with the new design system.
  • Login + signup flow consolidated; magic link added.
v6.0 — Public beta
Major 2026-03-15
  • First public beta — CEC 2024 only, single-dwelling and commercial demand calculations.
  • Free Early Access pricing across all tiers.
  • Single line diagram generation from project state.

Bug fixes & smaller changes

For very small fixes (typos, minor copy, non-functional changes), we don't write a release entry — they ship continuously and show up in git log on the platform repo. Substantive fixes always get a note here.
