How to read these
Each card opens an inline trace showing every step the engine executed: rule reference, formula, numeric substitution, and intermediate result. NEC cases are produced by the live calculation engine — click Download PDF to stream a fresh build from /api/v1/case-studies/:id/pdf. CEC cases are reference examples from the Master Rulebook v5 (Chapter 17) — inline trace only at this stage; live engine output coming in the next release.

After login, Case Studies is the second item in the dashboard sidebar. Open any case study to see its full trace, copy the inputs into your own project as a starting point, or download the reference PDF for plan-review hand-off.
Engine deviation from the rulebook
EX-A001 step 9 in the rulebook claims A/C 5,600 VA governs over Heat 8,000 VA per NEC 220.60 — that is mathematically inconsistent with the same rule. EEP follows code-correct max(), produces 40,545 VA / 168.94 A, and prints a deviation flag. Downstream OCP / conductor / EGC / GEC sizes match the rulebook because OCP rounds to 200 A in either case. The other seven case studies match the rulebook bit-for-bit.
